Another take on one of the small toy animals from my son's farm set. Like the pink pig, I gave spotted cow some enhanced peepers.

Todd,
I just love the cow! Thanks for the words of encouragement that you left on my blog. It's really appreciated. Keep up the good work!

Sooo cute! I like the cow even better than the pig! Are you actually going to sell these, or are you going to give them to your son as an early part of his inheritance? LOL They are really fun pieces! Thanks for the posting.

Thanks Jean and Joanne!
You know, these have been a blast to paint...I just might explore this subject matter a little more.
My daughter, 4 years old, has made more than her usual number of trips out to my studio the last few days to watch me work on these!

I think these would be great to hang onto for your kids. Do you remember what a blast it is to catch sight of a toy you used to play with all those years ago? Fabulous work!

It would be cool to hang on to these for that reason, but the eyes I added are just to creepy!
There is definitely a certain "cuteness" level to these pieces, but that tiny little space occupied by the eyes, give the overall painting a whole different feel...for me anyway.
I wouldn't want my kids to think that they had "possessed" toys when they were babies!
