This is the first time I have ever used a mirror in a composition. I have always wanted to give it a go, so I finally did. This is most definitely a nod to the amazing Photorealist painters that have inspired me over the years. I tried to create a balance of my own style with the inclusion of the reflections to stay somewhat true to my own vision of what I think makes an interesting piece...which isn't necessarily a picture plane full of "stuff".

Green Bottle No.10

Green bottle with cloth composition that features the cloth almost appearing to float.
I wasn't pleased with the photo of this piece on my blog or the eBay auction, so I just changed both. I took a new pic of this piece this afternoon with natural light, and I think the color and value look closer to the actual painting...on this monitor anyway.

2 New Pieces

These are two new pieces finished a few days ago. The painting on the left, "Tied Up No.2", is 20"x22". The other painting, "Orange Spoon No.2", is 18"x24".
These are being shipped to a gallery for consideration. If accepted, I will post gallery information.
