Use your Imagination

This piece will more than likely never go beyond what you see, just thought I would post something a little different.
What do you see?

Faded Glass

Top and bottom pieces of a broken bottle rendered using black and white along with a realistic color scheme. I typically do not create paintings layered with meaning, but I suppose this one could be an exception...I'll let you decide what it means to you, if anything.

Reflect

This is the first time I have ever used a mirror in a composition. I have always wanted to give it a go, so I finally did. This is most definitely a nod to the amazing Photorealist painters that have inspired me over the years. I tried to create a balance of my own style with the inclusion of the reflections to stay somewhat true to my own vision of what I think makes an interesting piece...which isn't necessarily a picture plane full of "stuff".

Bottle Neck

Small painting of a bottle with white cloth. I just felt like painting a small one tonight, and it doesn't get much smaller! I haven't painted this particular bottle in quite awhile. I really like how it catches light. It has a really nice, rich color as well.

Skull

Something a little different for me. This a skeleton I have for my advanced students to draw and paint. I have had it for about a year, but this is the first time I have painted it...even though I have wanted to for awhile. So, when I got home from school today...I did!

Green Bottle with Cloth No.9

Newly finished piece of one of my personal favorite things to paint: my green bottle. I particularly enjoy painting the combination of the reflective glass bottle with the soft, flowing cloth.

Orange Lid

My small green bottle that I have painted many times. Oddly enough, the orange applicator lid from a bottle of rubber cement fits perfectly on this little green bottle.
