This is an old chrome hood ornament that I have painted several times. This time, rendered in a very warm color scheme.

Todd,
I enjoy the warm color scheme in this piece. It makes a bold statement. How do you finish paintings so quickly with such quality? Nice!

Thanks Jean. Well, "quickly" is a relative word. Each painting takes many hours from start to finish, but I spend A LOT of time in the studio until the piece is finished.

Hey Todd,
I should have worded that differently! I know your paintings must take hours to complete but I guess I meant "quickly" in the sense that I'm such a turtle when it comes to painting...LOL. I'm always amazed at how you do it. Maybe going larger is better...I don't know. I've just come up from my studio to take a brake after I almost threw my painting across the room. I never get that frustrated but I can't get a color to lay down properly and ended up wiping off a section. I think I'm having an off day and maybe it's time to quit for the night. Can't wait to see your next piece.

I'm sorry I misspelled "brake" I meant "break". I'm really tired!

Jean,
I certainly didnt mean to come off defensive...I know what you meant. Once I start a piece, I am consumed with it until it's finished. I find it very difficult to find a "stopping point" while painting. Spending more than a few days at most on a painting(regardless of size) seems like an eternity. Maybe I'm just a junkie for that zen, "in the zone" feeling I get when I paint.

I know you love this piece but might it still be available for purchase?
